Chocolate of the Gods!

Let me start by saying if you are looking for healthy...this ain't it. If however you are looking for the easiest, most perfect desert you can make in no time at all and fool people into thinking you are the love child of Julia Childs and God - well then this is the recipe for you.

I was at a Christmas party with my husband and everyone was raving about this weird, ugly looking, bread pudding-esque of a mess in a pan. It looked yucky but being the daredevil that I am I tried it, and melted. This was the best thing I had had in a while, all warm and gooey, it was like your first kiss, no, your first good kiss layered in warm chocolate.

I immediately asked for the recipe and when it was emailed to me I thought "this can't be right it is way too easy".

Oh it was right - ENJOY!

Chocolate Madness

melt 2 sticks of salted butterin a 9x 13 pan ( I melt it in a pot or microwave then pour it in the pan)

then in a separate bowl mix 1 & 1/2 cups selfrising flour 1 & 1/2 cups sugar 3/4 cups milk 1 tablespoon vanilla

pour this mixture over the melted butter (in the pan)

now mix 1 cup sugar 5 tablespoons cocoa ( I use Hershey's  cocoa-naturally unsweetened" in the lil brown container) and sprinkle over mixture in pan

pour 1 & 1/2 cups cold water over top DO NOT STIR!

bake at 350 degrees for 45 min to 1 hr ( don't over cook) it will start to look like a soufflé/bread pudding...

I also add a sprinkle of mini choc chips over top for fun

*honestly if you are taking it to a party you should pretty this dish up a bit so as not to scare people - cook it in some corning ware and sprinkle some powdered sugar on it.

Shudder To Think - Chocolate
